The RN is a professional caregiver who provides skilled, compassionate care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. The RN must be able to assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care to a diverse group of patients using sound critical thinking and decisive judgement in accordance with approved policies, procedures, and protocols. Must have specific and basic knowledge in the principle, methods and techniques involved in nursing practice for outpatient populations. Accepts responsibility for maintaining and improving professional skills essential to the area of clinical practice. Supports the mission and values of Summit Pacific Medical Center (SPMC). Functions in compliance with the Washington State Nurse Practice Act. The PICC RN will also serve as an Outpatient Infusion Nurse; and will demonstrate proficiency in IV therapy, venipuncture, and the management of central venous access devices. Proficiency in PICC/Midline placement is required. Work shift is 10 hours, 0700-1730 with variable days and rotating weekend coverage.
