Requirements
- Active and unencumbered Nevada RN license (BSN degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year minimum Infusion or Transfusion room nursing experience
- Active Basic Life Support Certification required
- Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card required within 6 months of hire
Nice To Haves
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) strongly preferred
- Active Acute Care Life Support Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Administers intravenous fluids, blood products, and other medications safely via peripheral and central catheters and ports
- Identifies, assesses, and responds to problems through patient assessment and intervention. Evaluates actual or potential health problems
- Develops and participates in educating patients and their support persons about post-discharge care and expectations
- Initiates patient care meetings with the health care team to revise the patient’s plan of care on an ongoing basis as their condition warrants
