About The Position

The Peds ED offers family-centered care to those under the age of 19, seeking care for urgent and emergent issues at a Level 1 pediatric trauma and burn center. The unit comprises 18 general care beds, 1 critical care bed, 4 urgent care beds, and the use of a 7-bed trauma bay shared with the adult ED. The staff is trained to function in a fast-paced and challenging environment, offering care from treat and release to acute critical care/trauma.

Requirements

• NY RN license
• 2 years of Pediatric ED experience
• BLS certification from AHA
• PALS certification from AHA
• ACLS certification from AHA

Nice To Haves

• Burn care experience is highly desirable
• NIHSS certification
• TNCC, ATCN, or ABLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered care in a pediatric emergency setting.
• Function in a fast-paced, challenging environment handling urgent and emergent cases.
