About The Position

Provide pediatric nursing care to patients at the NIH Clinical Center, supporting infants, children, and adolescents enrolled in clinical research protocols. Responsibilities include age-appropriate assessment, medication administration, family-centered care, and monitoring of pediatric patients on the night shift. This is a 13-week position with possible extensions. The role involves 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, primarily on the night shift, with availability for holidays and weekends as needed. This is a W-2 position with a salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or associate degree in Nursing from an accredited university.
• Successful passage of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
• Valid, active RN license in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support required for this position).
• Two to three (2–3) years of current pediatric acute care hospital experience.
• Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Current pediatric acute care hospital experience.
• Availability for a three-shift, 12-hour night schedule including holiday nights and weekends.
