Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation has a family-centered pediatric inpatient rehabilitation program that provides care and rehabilitation to patients ranging from infancy to age 21 who require hospitalization or acute rehabilitation. This team’s care centers around patients with traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy surgery patients, spinal cord injuries, orthopaedic rehabilitation needs, spinal fusions and traction, complex injuries, neurologic disorders requiring rehabilitation, and burns. In this role, you will work closely with pediatric patients while collaborating with fellow caregivers to provide exceptional care throughout the entire patient journey. You will interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, helping enhance their overall experience while offering health education and support as needed. Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within one year of hire
One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care.
Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
Educate patients and family with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns
Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol
