About The Position
The RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide intermediate care and manage patients downgraded from CVICU, supporting programs such as thoracic, EP, cath lab, and structural heart.
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with similar patient population
- Compliance with the fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails
- Successful completion of Pass/Fail exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher
Responsibilities
- Provide intermediate care to patients, including those from CVICU
- Support thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart
- Titrate and manage various drips such as Amio, nitro, and nicardipine
- Read and interpret tele monitor strips
