About The Position

The RN position in the PCU Staffing Pool involves providing high-quality patient care with a primary focus on ED decompression and enhanced throughput. The role requires a positive attitude, teamwork, and the ability to care for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses. The unit focuses on receiving admitted patients from the ED, completing the Admission Assessment, Medication Reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders.

Requirements

• 2 years of recent MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Charge Nurse experience or willingness to learn appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Complete Admission Assessment and Medication Reconciliation.
• Initiate acute care orders.
• Float to other units within skill set as needed.
