About The Position

This is a travel nursing position for a Registered Nurse in a 16-bed stroke and brain unit. The unit has a 4:1 patient ratio. The nurse will be responsible for administering cardiac drips and monitoring telemetry and neurology patients. Unit equipment includes Welch Allyn VS Machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, Telemetry, Bladder Scanner, and Doppler. Patient information is documented using Meditech.

Requirements

• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications
• Stroke experience and telemetry competency required
• Experience with cardiac drips and basic dysrhythmia

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a 16-bed stroke and brain unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Administer cardiac drips and monitor telemetry and neurology patients
• Utilize unit equipment such as Welch Allyn VS Machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, Telemetry, Bladder Scanner, Doppler
• Document patient information using Meditech
