About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Step Down unit is responsible for providing care to patients with cardiac conditions who require continuous monitoring and treatment. This role involves working in a progressive care environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Experience with cardiac medications, including Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips.
Nice To Haves
- Cardiac knowledge is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage chest tubes, wound vacs, and perform EKGs as needed.
- Conduct bedside and hourly rounding with specific focus areas.
- Ensure communication with PCTs regarding patient needs.
- Apply, document, and acknowledge telemetry rhythm strips per shift.
