About The Position
The position involves providing care for a wide variety of cardiac and respiratory patients in a Progressive Care Unit. There are no on-call requirements, and overtime is available. The role requires working every other weekend and holidays. Schedule preference is considered where possible.
Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS Card
- ACLS certification
Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide explanations and instructions to the patient/responsible person.
- Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
- Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
- Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
- Participate in continuing education.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
