Requirements

  • Associate Of Nursing
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of two (2) years RN experience
  • Registered Nurse: ND, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • PACU RN experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a knowledge base regarding sedation/analgesic and anesthetic agents and techniques, physiologic and physiological response to the recovering patient
  • Assess, plan, intervention for and evaluate the physical and physiological response to analgesia; able to plan for the risks and the interventions for those risks associated with the administration of sedation, analgesia, and anesthetic agents
  • Assesses patient’s health and continuously monitors; detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and take action as necessary; and quickly and accurately assess patient care needs
  • Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
  • Collaborates with other care staff to assure smooth transition for patient throughout the facility using proper hand off techniques
  • Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures
