About The Position

The RN provides professional nursing care within the ANA scope of practice, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge while incorporating patient- and family-centered care. Under the direction of the Nurse Leader, the RN delivers quality care according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and recognizes the effect of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on outcomes. The RN uses patient and family input and goals in care planning, develops teaching strategies, and documents education and learning in the health record.

The position is in the Pre Post Recovery department at Trenton Hospital. It is full-time, with variable hours and variable weekends, and 40 scheduled hours per week.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke.
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role, and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of PACU or ICU RN experience preferred.
