About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Walla Walla, WA. This is a 13-week assignment with a shift of Mid | 4x10s, from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The PACU has 21 rooms and a daily census of 36-52 patients. The facility is a Level III Trauma center with 104 staffed beds. Specialties include General, Neuro, Ortho, GYN, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Urology, Ophthalmology, and Cath Lab. Charting is done in Epic, and there is no parking fee.

Requirements

• 2+ years of PACU experience.
• Previous Charge RN experience required.
• Experience in Pre-Op, Phase I PACU & Phase II Recovery.
• Must be comfortable caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult & geriatric patients.
• Epic experience required.
• Able to float between Pre/Post & PACU.
• BLS, ACLS & PALS preferred.
• First-time travelers accepted if experienced in all phases of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Float between Pre-Op, Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, and PACU.
• Utilize Epic for charting.
