About The Position
Oxford Surgery Center is hiring RNs for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is a per diem position in a fast-paced, busy, multi-specialty surgery center with successful programs in Sports Medicine, Total Joint, Ortho Spine, ENT, Ophthalmology, and General Surgery. The team at Oxford believes in readiness, dedicated staff for dedicated surgeons, and fostering a positive environment and culture. The RN PACU initiates patient care through the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, and patient outcome) in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. They assist in providing nursing care in a same-day surgery setting, assume total responsibility for patient care according to physician's orders and center policies, and monitor and control the use and charging of supplies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse License
- BLS and ACLS certifications
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Med Surg, ER, ICU, or a new graduate willing to train
Responsibilities
- Initiates the delivery of patient care through the framework of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis and patient outcome) in the preoperative, interoperative and postoperative phase of the surgical patient.
- Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in a same day surgery setting.
- Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician’s orders and centers policies.
- Monitors and controls use of and charging for supplies utilized in the center.
