About The Position

Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. You will be cross trained between both PACU and Outpatient Surgery Units.

Requirements

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 3 months
Pediatric Advanced Life support (PALS) certification within 1 year
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Two years of previous ICU nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

Preferred PACU experience.
