About The Position

Join Presbyterian Medical Group as an Outpatient Registered Nurse at our San Mateo clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you’ll be an important part of the care team, supporting patients throughout their outpatient experience and helping coordinate safe, timely, and compassionate care. The Outpatient RN works collaboratively with providers and other members of the clinical team to assess patient needs, provide education, coordinate care, and support ongoing treatment plans.

Requirements

• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)
• Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire
• Maintains current training in following: BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required for all
• Minimum New graduate or experienced nurse from an accredited nursing program

Nice To Haves

• Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred
• Oncology - Chemotherapy certification
• Urgent Care: ACLS, PALS
• Pediatric Urgent Care: PALS

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for nurse visits in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
• Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for telephone triage in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
• Responsible for Medication Refill Management as an agent of the provider using approved nursing protocols.
• Ensures safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care of patients.
