About The Position

The RN Outpatient maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals while administering professional nursing care to patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities through assessment, plans and delegates care based on those needs, and evaluates the patient’s response to care and progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for patient-care outcomes during the assigned shift. This role is in the Chemotherapy Infusion Center and is full-time, first shift. The employer is Huntsville Hospital Health System, a locally governed nonprofit health system serving its communities through Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, and Madison Hospital. Requirements

Graduate of a state board School of Nursing.
Current Alabama or multi-state Nursing License.
Obtain BLS for Healthcare Providers during the orientation period.
For critical care areas, ACLS, PALS, or NRP is required based on the patient population.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and change tasks frequently.
Complete department-specific competencies within the provisional period.

Nice To Haves

Nursing experience is preferred; new graduates are accepted.
