About The Position

Logan Health has a rewarding opportunity for an RN to be part of our Urology Specialty Clinic team! Our clinic is located at 350 Heritage Way in scenic Kalispell, MT. Situated in the heart of the Flathead Valley, our area offers an endless variety of outdoor recreation to choose from. We are a short drive to Glacier National Park, two ski resorts, and the pristine Flathead Lake. As part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team, this position plays a key role in providing high-quality and compassionate hands-on nursing support for this high-volume clinic.

Requirements

  • Current Montana RN License or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.
  • RQI Provider (BLS) within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever comes first, required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ nursing experience preferred.
  • Pre-op, Post-op, or OR experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for patient triage
  • Address emergent patient issues and coordinate follow-up care
  • Perform catheter changes, blood draws, and participate in minor procedures
  • Help support and maintain clinical competencies of clinic staff.
  • Provide medication management including inventory, refill requests, and compliance with clinic protocols
  • Be available to assist with rooming patients and obtaining vitals when needed
  • Performs patient assessment. Utilizes all available sources of information and incorporates the patient’s perception of illness.
  • Develops an individualized plan of care for each patient and updates the plan throughout the visit as appropriate.
  • Consistently identifies safety issues concerning the patient and staff during visit.
  • Independently reviews medication lists and provides ongoing medication or treatment education at the directive of physician or advanced practice provider.
  • Coordinates with healthcare team to provide continuity of care.
  • Participates in the development and delivery of education and competency validation of clinical staff.
  • Utilizes department Standard of Care and individualizes care provided on an on-going basis per department standards.
  • Administers medications per provider order.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to professionalism while undertaking and completing all department competencies.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.
