About The Position

This is a 6-week contract position for an Electrophysiology RN in Seattle, WA. The role is to cover a caregiver who is on leave. The schedule is 5x8hr shifts, Monday through Friday, from 08:30 to 17:00. The position is open to local, non-local, and traveler candidates. First-time travelers are accepted. The facility is a Heart & Vascular Clinic.

Requirements

RN License
2 years of experience working as an RN in Electrophysiology (EP) is REQUIRED
Experience with EPIC charting is REQUIRED
Experience with Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures
Experience with Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal
Experience with Watchman procedure
Experience with Electrophysiology Procedures including Arrhythmia Induction, Cardiac Ablation, Cardiac Mapping, Cardioversion, Conduction Studies, and Insertion/Programming of AICDs
Experience with Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure
Experience with Pacemaker Insertion
Knowledge of Antiarrhythmics, Antihypertensives, and Thrombolytics
Ability to perform Cardioversion
Ability to interpret and manage Dysrhythmias
Ability to obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
Patient education skills, especially around lifestyle and medication adherence
Team collaboration skills

Responsibilities

Perform Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures
Assist with Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal
Assist with Watchman procedures
Perform Electrophysiology Procedures including Arrhythmia Induction, Cardiac Ablation, Cardiac Mapping, Cardioversion, Conduction Studies, and Insertion/Programming of AICDs
Assist with Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure
Assist with Pacemaker Insertion
Administer medications including Antiarrhythmics, Antihypertensives, and Thrombolytics
Perform Cardioversion
Interpret and manage Dysrhythmias
Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
Provide patient education, especially around lifestyle and medication adherence
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
