The Orthopedic Surgical unit at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital is a 23-bed unit that is fast-paced and dynamic. We see primarily orthopedic patients, but our census can include trauma, medical, oncology, surgical, and cardiac overflow patients. One wing of our unit is dedicated to an elective total-joint replacement program. This program is wellness-driven, therapy intensive and includes hip, knee, and shoulder replacement patients. The program provides opportunity for multi-disciplinary collaboration with nursing, therapies, and discharge planners. We offer additional opportunities for growth and expansion of nursing skills by floating nurses between hospital service lines and units including Oncology, Intensive Care and the ED. Our mission on the Orthopedics unit is to deliver high quality health care and help our patients to regain optimal activity and function. We look for flexible individuals who offer extraordinary care to our patient population and elevate the excellence of our department and hospital! Nurses are at the heartbeat of our organization and your time will be spent in a supportive, team environment with resources to help you flourish and leaders who care about your success. We offer Certification pay and a Clinical Career Ladder to help you grow and recognize your contributions to clinical excellence! Here, you will help advance modern nursing by providing your skills, experience, and commitment to compassionate care. The impact you will make in our faith-based, mission-driven culture will cultivate excellence and achieve professional fulfillment united in humankindness.
