About The Position

The H70 Orthopedic Unit specializes in osteoarthritis and performs many types of surgeries and procedures, including total hip/knee/shoulder arthroplasties, hip/knee/shoulder revisions and sarcoma resections. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow nurses in delivering this exceptional treatment experience. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to help each person feel supported in some of their most vulnerable times. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
