About The Position

This is a 41-bed Med Surg unit specializing in ortho, stroke, trauma, and neurosurgery patients. It is a faster-paced med surg unit where staff can obtain ortho, stroke, and trauma certifications. Allegheny Health Network (AHN), a part of Highmark Health, is a 9-hospital system committed to transforming healthcare. Forbes Hospital is a 315-bed, Level II trauma hospital offering a wide range of services including trauma, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, obstetrics, and psychiatry.

Requirements

Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Responsibilities

Assesses patient reports/records change of condition and notifies physician and/or supervisor and intervenes appropriately and documents accordingly.
