About The Position

The RN in the Operating Room will be responsible for circulating during heavy orthopedic, urology, spine procedures, and robotic surgeries. The role includes call requirements of 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days a month, with potential for additional call based on departmental needs. Candidates must have verified circulation experience and be willing to float to other facilities if needed.

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR/BLS Card
• ACLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
• Provide explanations and instructions to patient/responsible person.
• Use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
