RN OR - Operating Room Nurse
About The Position
The OR RN will have self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for predictability. The role involves working within a culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff. There is continuous investment in equipment, including surgical instruments, devices, and patient positioning, to ensure optimal patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room. The position requires rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure the nurse's voice is heard regarding suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement. On-call is required during select non-business hours.
Requirements
- 1+ Years of Recent OR RN (Scrub/Circulating experience in the OR)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse License
- Registered Nurse Diploma, ASN or BSN
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the Operating Room as an RN.
- Participate in self/preferential scheduling.
- Collaborate with surgical staff.
- Utilize and provide feedback on equipment and patient positioning.
- Participate in rounding with unit leaders.
- Be available for on-call duties during select non-business hours.
