About The Position

Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island is seeking a Per Diem RN or LPN to join their team. This role involves working with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders. The nurse will play an integral role in admission assessments, assessing individuals, collecting and documenting health status and medical history, administering medications, and assisting with treatment plans. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with the treatment team, including psychiatrists, external agencies, and guardians. The position offers flexible scheduling, ongoing training, and a supportive work environment within a stable, national non-profit organization.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
A valid driver's license is required.
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
Must hold a current RN or LPN license by the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing.
Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.

Responsibilities

Play an integral role in admission assessments.
Assess individuals, collect and document current health status and medical history.
Administer medications.
Assist with initial treatment plans and the treatment planning process.
Communicate information related to the individual's medical care and behavior with the treatment team, including the psychiatrist.
Be responsible for oversight of assigned caseload of individuals residing in group homes.
Work collaboratively with team members, external agencies, and/or guardians.
