Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or current BLS certification upon hire.
  • Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of employment or current ACLS certification upon hire.
  • Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of employment, when pediatric care is included in the facility's scope of services, or current PALS certification upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of Operating Room and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
  • Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR).
  • Previous Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the perioperative setting.
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and surgical instruments.
  • Serve as a circulating and/or scrub nurse during surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure positive patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patient status and maintain patient safety throughout the surgical process.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Provide excellent patient and family education and support.
