About The Position

The RN provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides care during the intraoperative phase of the patient’s surgical journey and functions as a Circulating Nurse and/or Scrub RN, serving as the patient’s primary advocate while the patient is under anesthesia.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care specialty nursing.
One (1) to three (3) years of operating room experience required.
Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills.
Ability to function effectively in high stress, fast paced environments.
Current FL state nursing license.
Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire) as required by specialty.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Specialty certification preferred. (AORN)
