About The Position

Work Schedule: 60% FTE, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. No weekends. No holiday's. No call. Hours are based of the operational needs of the department. You will work at Eastpark Medical Center in Madison, WI. Be part of something remarkable. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Multidisciplinary Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology Clinic to: Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families through compassionate, patient-centered care. Coordinate care across medical oncology, colorectal surgery, and radiation oncology services. Perform targeted patient assessments during clinic visits, telephone encounters, and through the patient portal. Assist providers with endoscopic procedures and support procedural care within the clinic. Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, procedures, and ongoing care needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of school of nursing
  • 6 months of RN experience
  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire
  • Current CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Relevant Inpatient RN experience
  • Ambulatory experience
  • Relevant oncology experience
  • Chemotherapy experience
  • Experience with Venous Access Devices (VADs) and IV skills
  • Certification in specialty area of practice
