This role offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative, compassionate, and innovative team utilizing state-of-the-art technology. The 5N Oncology Unit specializes in advanced treatments for various cancer diagnoses. As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, interacting directly with oncology patients, their families, and visitors to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education. Cleveland Clinic also provides extensive professional development resources, including opportunities for furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance skills.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
• Completion of an ONS Chemo/Bio Course within one year of hire

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Oncology experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
