About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Oncology Department at their Galion location. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients within the specialty clinic, participating in patient and family teaching, and acting as a patient advocate. The role also involves coordinating clinical staff regarding patient flow and clinical operations under the direction of the Oncology Manager.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS certification or obtained within 6 (six) months of hire.
- Current completion of an online education program for PICC/Midline insertion or will to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) or more years of previous experience working in an outpatient specialty clinic/center.
- Previous experience with PICC/Midlines.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans and implements the nursing care of patients within the specialty clinic.
- Participates in patient and family teaching.
- Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the facility’s mission.
- Provides coordination to the clinical staff as to patient flow and clinical operations as directed by the Oncology Manager.
