About The Position

Work in our Chemotherapy Clinic and Cancer Clinic Lab at University Hospital. Provide education and support to patients receiving chemotherapy. Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients during their treatment. Access central venous access devices for blood draws, and maintenance flushing. Draw routine and research labs for patients seen in the Cancer Clinics, Hematology Clinics, and by genetic counselors. Place peripheral IVs for patients using techniques to minimize pain and the latest technology to assist with selecting the best site for IV therapy. Participate in ongoing oncology educational and growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of school of nursing
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • 6 months of RN experience
  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire
  • Current CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire

  • Experience with Venous Access Devices (VADs) and IV skills
  • Certification in specialty area of practice
