This RN position at OLGMC NICU is a full-time role that involves leading patient care using the nursing process, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The incumbent will delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes. The role requires sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity and active involvement in achieving unit and department strategic goals. The RN is expected to demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for their practice, aligning with the company's philosophy of nursing.

Requirements

  • Registered nurse diploma.
  • Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Certification in clinical specialty area.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
  • Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family, and other groups or disciplines.
  • Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
  • Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.
  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
