Responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating and maintaining the occupational health programs. Serves as the System's expert resource in assuring knowledge and compliance with all governmental agency regulations dealing with safety and wellness in the workplace. Maintains OSHA/BBP/Injury logs & exposures. Advocates for the health and safety of all staff. May be responsible for coordinating the W/C program and activities designed to prevent, assess and treat work-related injuries and hazardous exposures; facilitates case management of workers' comp claims, files First Report of Injury after reviewing/investigating incidents. Reviews visit notes to coordinate back to work (work-related and non work-related)/light duty w/ managers and interacts w/ managers/HRD for associates who can't be released to work. Directs the activity of the Occupational Health Technician as needed. May involve travel or remote support for geographical team(s). This is a PRN position (5 shifts scheduled in a 6-week period). This position is used to cover call-offs, vacations, and where coverage may be needed. PRN is not eligible for benefits but does offer a 15% differential on top of the base rate of pay.
