About The Position

The Nurse Staff RN renders professional nursing services in the treatment and care of assigned patients. The RN promotes patients’ comfort and well-being by assessing their condition, providing treatments, and documenting progress and other observations. This is a full-time, regular, night-shift position scheduled for three to four 12-hour shifts each week, with rotating weekends. Pay is hourly at Paygrade 12 and depends on experience. Weekly earned wage access is available as an option. The position reports to the Manager.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing.
• Current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate nursing license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Good customer service skills.
• General computer and office skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient assessment and plan individualized patient care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in a patient’s condition, including chest pain, changes in vital signs, and diagnostic study results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient’s condition or response to treatment.
• Formulate individualized plans of care, revise them based on the patient’s response to treatment, and evaluate their effectiveness daily.
• Evaluate discharge needs and coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to plan post-discharge care.
• Assess and reassess pain-management techniques and educate patients and families about pain management.
• Identify and address the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
• Administer drugs, blood, and solutions according to medical and surgical policies and protocols.
• Document patient progress and other observations.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
