About The Position
This role involves working in a Clinical Decision/Direct Admit Unit with the primary goal of receiving admitted patients from the ED, completing admission assessments, medication reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders. The focus is on ED decompression and enhanced throughput.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down (PCU) experience
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Positive attitude with teamwork focus
Responsibilities
- Receive admitted patients from the ED
- Perform Admission Assessments
- Complete Medication Reconciliation
- Initiate acute care orders
- Work as a Charge Nurse if necessary
