About The Position

Bridgewater Healthcare Center is seeking an RN Nursing Unit Manager / Wound Nurse with heart, empathy, and a little extra love to provide to our patients. As Nursing Unit Manager, you will be accountable for all operational aspects of the unit during your shift. The Wound Nurse performs all treatments, dressing changes, ointments, sprays, lotions, etc. on all residents following center policy and procedures as it pertains to resident privacy, infection control, and physician’s orders. The Wound Nurse also performs routine monthly replacements of gastric tubes and Foley catheters as assigned, and trach care and suctioning. Recommendations for treatment are made at least once weekly in nurse notes, skin grids, pressure sore reports, or other required documents. Treatment procedures or products are recommended to attending physicians. Treatment supplies are re-ordered from pharmacy or central supply as needed.

Requirements

Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana
2 - 5 years Supervisory/Management experience
Previous Long Term Care Experience

Nice To Haves

Wound Care Certification preferred

Responsibilities

Perform all treatments, dressing changes, ointments, sprays, lotions, etc. on all residents following center policy and procedures as it pertains to resident privacy, infection control, and physician’s orders.

Recommend treatment procedures or products to attending physicians.
Re-order treatment supplies from pharmacy or central supply as needed.
Accountable for all operational aspects of the unit during your shift.
