RN - Nursing Supervisor
About The Position
Elderwood Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Supervisor (RN) to help lead clinical operations and support nursing teams within their skilled nursing and rehabilitation community. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing nursing care delivery during the assigned shift, supporting nursing staff across units, responding to clinical and operational needs, and ensuring exceptional resident care and service excellence. The ideal candidate is a confident nurse leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and enjoys supporting both residents and staff. This role plays a critical part in maintaining clinical excellence, supporting staff performance, and ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, high-quality care.
Requirements
- Possession of a state license in applicable state you are performing work and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
- At least one (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role
- Current BLS/CPR
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level

- Interest or experience in geriatrics
- Experience with dementia population desirable
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing care services and nursing personnel across assigned units
- Conduct rounds and provide clinical support and guidance to staff
- Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely communication of changes
- Assist with admissions, evaluations, care planning, and resident oversight
- Support safe medication administration and treatment delivery
- Assist with staffing coordination and assignment adjustments
- Provide coaching, feedback, and support to nursing staff
- Ensure documentation, workflows, and assignments are completed appropriately
- Participate in shift-to-shift communication and operational updates
- Promote a collaborative, respectful, team-focused environment
- Help maintain compliance with facility policies, CMS standards, and nursing regulations
- Support infection prevention and facility safety initiatives
- Assist with incident response, emergency procedures, and survey readiness
- Participate in QAPI and performance improvement efforts
- Oversee nursing operations during your assigned shift
- Support and supervise nursing staff across the facility
- Serve as a clinical resource and leader for nursing teams
- Help ensure quality resident care and regulatory compliance
- Assist with staffing coordination, problem-solving, and resident care oversight
- Partner closely with Unit Managers, DON leadership, providers, and interdisciplinary teams
