About The Position

The RN Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of total resident care and directs and coordinates all nursing units. This role requires advanced training and broad nursing experience, including supervisory duties. The individual must possess administrative ability, knowledge of training techniques, the ability to adapt techniques and procedures to unusual situations, and exercise initiative and good judgment. The work is performed according to professional nursing standards, facility policies, and State and Federal regulations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current registration with the professional board of nurse examiners of NJ.
• Experience in the nursing field.
• Supervisory experience in long term care.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing theory, techniques and practices.
• Experienced working with Pointclick and MDS.
• Knowledge of medications, their proper dosage and expected results.
• Ability to recognize and identify symptoms and to make decisions quickly in emergencies.
