About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Nursing Director or Assistant Nursing Director provides direct nursing care to patients. This is a Per Diem position in the Neonatal ICU.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing school required
Current NYS licensure as RN required.
Current BLS certification required.
Professional nursing experience appropriate to the service and the position.
Neonatal ICU, Pediatric or Pediatric ICU experience REQUIRED.
Clinical skills for patient care delivery through the nursing process.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Analytical skills
Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
NRP certification preferred.
fluency in a second language preferred.

Responsibilities

Participates in the interview and evaluation of new health care team members
Acts as preceptor for new health care team members
Utilizes computer systems as they pertain to job responsibilities and in accordance with hospital policy
Assures a safe environment and milieu in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
Participates in MMC’s ongoing Quality Performance Improvement initiatives; identifies opportunities for organizational improvements.
Performs other related duties as required.
