About The Position

Riverside Lifelong Health and Rehabilitation Smithfield is currently hiring for a Full Time Day Shift Registered Nurse for their RN Nurse Supervisor role in Smithfield, VA! This role is eligible for a $7,500 Sign-on Bonus. The RN Nurse Supervisor works under the direction of the Director of Nursing, supervising and directing nursing services on one or more units in a facility. The position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and executing resident care, and directing all activities to provide quality service. The supervisor maintains close contact with residents, families, and staff while coordinating nursing services with all other disciplines.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) - State Department of Health Professions Upon Hire (Required)
CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days (Required)

Nice To Haves

Bachelors Degree, Nursing (Preferred)
Charge Nurse Experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Assigns duties to professional and non-professional staff according to education, training, policy and resident need.
Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed to assure quality resident care is delivered.
Works with DON/Nurse Manager to keep labor expenses within budget.
Works with DON/Nurse Manager on onboarding, orientation and supervision of the nursing staff to ensure safe work practices.
Develops, implements and evaluates resident plans of care.
Communicates plan of care to providers, residents, families and staff.
Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation following the Interact process.
Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes.
Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills.
Demonstrates the ability to manage a typical nursing unit.
Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety/dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
