As a Nurse Supervisor, you coordinate care, mentor the team, and keep the milieu calm, safe, and moving forward—no matter what the shift brings — providing a calm, vigilant presence while others rest.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• 2+ years inpatient psych or emergency psych experience
• Must be 21 or older
• Calm communicator with strong critical‐thinking skills

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• Prior charge experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Serve as on‐shift clinical leader: assign staff, prioritize admissions/discharges, and coordinate with intake and ED transfers.
• Support RNs/LPNs with assessments, med administration, restraint/seclusion per policy, and timely documentation.
• Lead real‐time de‐escalation and code responses; ensure post‐event debriefs and learning.
• Validate rounds, safety checks, and environment‐of‐care standards; escalate facilities/security needs.
• Precept new hires and students; champion competencies and policy adherence.
• Ensure continuity of care overnight with vigilant observation and timely documentation.
• Manage after‐hours admissions and urgent needs; prepare a thorough handoff to the day team.
