We seek a dedicated RN Nurse Manager (to lead our Labor & Delivery team, fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and clinical excellence. This frontline leadership role focuses on supporting staff, strengthening communication, and ensuring safe, patient-centered care in a high-acuity maternity setting.
Requirements
- RN License (Maryland or Compact State)
- BSN required
- 3+ years Labor & Delivery experience
- 1–3 years leadership experience (Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager)
Nice To Haves
- MSN preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead and support L&D nursing staff and charge nurses in daily operations
- Ensure safe staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback
- Address employees concerns with respect, fairness, and transparency
- Foster open, clear communication across the care team
- Communicate changes, priorities, and expectations with clarity and consistency
- Oversee patient flow and throughput in a busy L&D unit
- Support adherence to AWHONN/ACOG standards and best practices
- Monitor quality, safety, and patient experience outcomes
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and safe care delivery
