Requirements

  • Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
  • Three (3) years of RN experience.
  • Three (3) years of related professional experience, including direct care, case management and leadership or management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides triage, symptom management, and clinical decision support for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, routing patients to the appropriate level of care using evidence-based neurology and dementia care guidelines.
  • Delivers direct outpatient nursing care, including comprehensive assessments, monitoring of Anti Amyloid Targeted Therapy (ATT) infusions, recognition and escalation of adverse events, and post-infusion follow-up.
  • Educates patients and caregivers on dementia care, ATT infusion therapy, monitoring requirements, and care plans, using communication strategies appropriate for cognitive impairment.
  • Coordinates the continuum of care from referral or urgent/emergent follow-up through infusion treatment and ongoing outpatient management, collaborating across neurology, radiology, pharmacy, infusion services, and support teams.
  • Documents clinical care and collects, enters, and validates required registry and outcomes data (e.g., ATZ.net), supporting program safety monitoring, quality improvement, and performance evaluation.
  • Serves as a liaison among physicians, nurses, technologists, and support staff to ensure timely communication, efficient workflows, and high-quality patient care.
  • Participates in quality, process improvement, and accreditation-related activities, including adherence to documentation standards, review of outcomes data, and implementation of standard work.
  • Assists with daily clinic operations, staff education, orientation of new employees, and training support as needed.
  • May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.
