RN - NICU Level IV
About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Level IV NICU at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. The role involves providing care for critically ill newborns, infants, and their families throughout their continuum of care, from admission to discharge. The 26-bed NICU is a model for patient-and family-centered care, treating infants with complex medical and surgical needs requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services. This is a 60% FTE position with evening/night shifts, including every other weekend and a holiday rotation. Hours may vary based on operational needs. Multiple positions are available as part of a NICU expansion.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
- Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
- NRP within 6 months Required
- Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
- Relevant RN Experience Preferred
- Relevant certification Preferred
