About The Position

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is a Level IV, state-of-the-art, 17-bed intensive care unit dedicated to caring for newborns with complex medical needs. Caregivers provide world-class patient care through an intricate nursing care model rooted in evidence-based practice, prioritizing patients. The unit also provides care for mothers with high-risk pregnancies, including cases involving high-risk conditions for the mother, fetus, or both. The nursing team actively participates in fetal surgeries and specialized procedures, performing advanced obstetric cases available at only a few centers worldwide. A PRN caregiver in this position works 1st and 3rd shift, 7:00am—7:30pm or 7:00pm—7:30am (12-hour shifts).

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ASN, BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (must be presented upon hire)
One year of current acute care RN experience
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider Status through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
External applicants must have two years recent related nursing experience
Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience but post orientation /90 day probationary period could be considered with Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval
Successfully pass all prescreen competency assessments
Will consider licensed military RN experience
