About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to float between Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and be comfortable floating to various medical units including renal, oncology, and neuro. This is a full-time position with guaranteed hours, requiring flexibility and a commitment to patient care. The facility is a Short Term Acute Care hospital with free parking and uses EPIC for charting.

Requirements

2 Years of experience required.
BCLS and ACLS required.
IV start and Telemetry skills required.
Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs.
Must be able to use lift devices (training provided), ceiling lifts, and bladder scanner.
Must have a minimum of 75 miles radius from the facility to be considered a traveler.
Pending License accepted.
Must have no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract.
Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks.

Nice To Haves

NIH certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Float between medical, surgical, oncology, and neuro, cardiology units.
Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
Utilize lift devices, ceiling lifts, and bladder scanners.
Adhere to a rotating weekend schedule (every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule minimum).
Participate in holiday rotation.
Float to all Medical units, renal, oncology, and neuro as needed.
Call in to a recorded line up to 1 hour before the scheduled shift start time for unit assignment if remaining in the float pool.
