About The Position

Wellstar is hiring a Registered Nurse for its W.E.S.T. (Enterprise Support Team) Float Pool. The nurse will float across various departments and units to provide support where needed, gain diverse clinical experience, and deliver exceptional patient care. The role focuses on Mother/Baby-related nursing care in a hospital setting and involves providing evidence-based, compassionate care using the full nursing process. The nurse will use clinical judgment and critical thinking to manage complex situations, administer medications safely, educate patients and families, prioritize patient safety and quality, verify patient identities, follow protocols, and document care accurately.

Requirements

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license (single-state or compact).
• BLS certification.
• NRP certification.
• At least 2 years of recent Mother/Baby-related nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Collaborative, patient-first mindset.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Nice To Haves

• BSN.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Float across various departments and units to support patient care needs.
• Use the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide evidence-based, compassionate care.
• Apply clinical judgment and critical thinking to manage complex situations.
• Administer medications and perform safety checks.
