About The Position

Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct primary nursing care to complicated, critically ill adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular/pulmonary health deficits, in whom outcomes may be unpredictable. Participates in the care of unstable or complicated patients, supported by the charge nurse and/or CN III. Serves as a mentor to student nurse externs.

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year experience acute care nursing is required.
Graduate of accredited diploma, associate degree or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
NJ State Nursing License
BLS -C certification
Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation
IV Therapy certification
Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring
Adheres to Hospital and HIPPA privacy policies.

Nice To Haves

Cardiopulmonary and critical care experience preferred
ACLS and mock code within 90 days of hire/promotion –or- at the first available course offering.

Responsibilities
