About The Position

This role involves managing patient care services within a unit, developing and implementing policies and procedures for efficient healthcare delivery, ensuring departmental compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, monitoring and adhering to budgets, and overseeing staff hiring, training, development, and evaluation.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
Ensure departmental compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Monitor and adhere to budgets. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
