About The Position

Registered Nurse position in the MedSurg/Tele Float Pool. The nurse must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips and may float to telemetry. The role includes rotating weekend and holiday work. The nurse will receive one hour of orientation to the medical-surgical unit to locate supplies and equipment, but no full day of medical-surgical orientation; one day of telemetry orientation will be provided. The highest level of care the nurse will work in is VivPost.

Requirements

• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.

Nice To Haves

• Basic arrhythmia course certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the MedSurg/Tele Float Pool.
• Float to telemetry and read and interpret strips.
• Work every other weekend.
• Participate in the permanent staff holiday rotation and work holidays as scheduled.
